No introduction is needed for the Red Fox—an adaptable, streetwise presence weaving through backstreets, hedgerows, and gardens. Inspired by my daughter's deep affection for foxes, this painting was shaped by love, guided by numerous reference images, and rendered in meticulous detail with fine brushes. Throughout the process, the fox evolved through multiple iterations—beneath the final strokes lie several earlier versions, each contributing to the depth and character of the finished piece. Creative liberties were taken, most notably in the eyes, which capture the elusive essence I sought to convey.
