The peacock butterfly was painted on a micro canvas which was gifted to me by my son. With delight, I walked around the garden and spotted the peacock butterfly. Perfect, I thought. It was brightly coloured, common in my area, and a joy to watch as it fluttered over the fences to disappear beyond. Using acrylic paint allowed me to add colour and detail on a small scale, which really made the most of that little canvas.
