About Craigard-Studio
Craigard Studio is a coastal multi‑maker studio based on the Isle of Bute, Scotland. Run by sole trader Helen Barr, the studio brings together practical craftsmanship, hands‑on making, and artwork inspired by rugged island life.
The Artists
Helen Barr — Studio Owner & Fused Glass Artist
Helen creates bold fused‑glass pieces with dramatic visual impact, ranging from jewellery to home décor. Her work draws on symbolism, lore, and heritage traditions inspired by Celtic and Nordic culture.
She also works with wire‑work jewellery and occasionally creates plushies, bringing a playful contrast to her otherwise striking, elemental designs. Helen’s practice focuses on making with intention, and storytelling through material and form.
Holly Harding — Contributing Maker & Polymer Clay Artist
Holly works primarily in polymer clay, creating fun and imaginative miniatures that shift between gothic, cute, and playful styles. Her sculptural work often draws on lore, theatre, and character‑driven storytelling, with occasional influences from Tim Burton’s distinctive aesthetic.
Alongside her clay work, Holly is also throwing bowls and cups, and building terracotta gargoyles — expanding her practice into expressive, tactile forms that blend whimsy with darker folkloric themes.
Stacey Harding — Contributing Artist
Stacey creates original artwork in charcoal, mixed media, and acrylic paint, with additional mediums used when the piece requires it. His subjects span landscapes, wildlife, abstract forms, and fantasy themes.
Stacey’s range is shaped by lived experience — connections to people, places, family, and the relationships that have influenced him. Each piece reflects a response to those personal ties, giving his work a grounded emotional continuity across a wide variety of themes.
All of Stacey’s artwork is exclusive to Craigard Studio. Originals are not sold for profit. Instead, Stacey grants Helen Barr full licence to produce and distribute Giclée prints of his work. These prints are created and sold solely through Craigard Studio to support the running and development of the business.
