This drawing is part of a series created using graphite pencils across the full range of B–B9 grades. While I personally dislike spiders—often ensuring they are promptly escorted out of the house, never to return—I cannot deny their distinct markings, which lend themselves to striking, if somewhat unsettling, artistic representation. Despite my aversion, I approached this piece with full attention to detail, capturing the intricate textures and patterns that make spiders both fascinating and eerie. Even now, this drawing continues to give me chills.
