This painting depicts a coastal town on the northeast coast of England. It was created during the off-season when the weather was quite cold, with rain and heavy storms throughout the week. The property, situated on the shore, exuded a wild and untamed atmosphere. I painted this piece on location, alongside another painting titled "Craster Storm." Although I completed the work while seated in the lounge of the property, I believe the essence of the experience is captured in this painting. It demonstrates how even the most rugged and hostile environments can leave a lasting and beautiful impression.
