This is one of two graphite pencil drawings of a black Labrador. In this series, I explored the effects and challenges presented by black subjects, whether items or animals. Utilizing a full range of B to B9 pencils, I aimed to capture a true likeness. The shine of the graphite pencil posed unique challenges, distinct from those encountered with charcoal. The final drawing successfully depicts a loving animal, familiar to many.
