This is my third charcoal drawing. In this piece, I aimed to depict a woman who has adorned her body with artwork, serving as an expression of her beliefs, experiences, and choices. This work also pays homage to the incredible tattoo artists who have devoted their skill and passion to creating art on bare skin, which will never be stretched onto canvas and mounted in a gallery.
I sought to bring her to life through the raw power of charcoal, incorporating passages of flaky dust and the velvet smoothness of soft skin.
